Brief agrometeorological review for the 1st decade of August 2021

During the decade, hot weather with precipitation was observed throughout Kazakhstan, good humidification conditions due to precipitation above normal were observed in North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Akmola and East Kazakhstan regions. In the southern regions, meteorological conditions were generally favorable for full grain ripeness and harvesting, as well as for the completion of winter wheat harvesting in the Almaty and Turkestan regions.
In the northern regions, the "milk ripeness" and "wax ripeness" phases were observed in the observed areas on spring wheat crops, and "full ripeness"in some areas. The condition of the plants is generally good and satisfactory, the crops in the vicinity of the Arshalinsky station of the Denisovsky district are poor. The height of the plants reaches 42-88 cm, on late crops up to 40 cm. The average number of stalks with an ear was counted per 1 sq. m. from 92 to 488 pcs., the number of spikelets in an ear of wheat is 9-23 pcs. , of which up to 4 are underdeveloped.
