Published 20.08.2021 In connection with the video published in the media about the discovery of red water on the Ulken Almaty River in the Auezovsky district of Almaty, specialists of the laboratory of the branch of the RSE "Kazhydromet" in Almaty on August 19, 2021, an unscheduled departure and sampling of the water of the Ulken Almaty River was carried out at the point: Ryskulov Ave. below the bridge 2 km.
The analysis of water quality is carried out according to 30 physico-chemical indicators, including the main ions, biogenic substances, organic and inorganic substances, heavy metals.
According to the results of the analysis, the water temperature in the Ulken River in Almaty was 15.2 ° C, the hydrogen index was 8.0, the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the water was 9.8 mg/dm3, the transparency was 27 cm (slightly cloudy), the color was 7 degrees (very small), the smell was 0 points, there was no smell peculiar to natural water, no traces of redness were found.
Currently, a physico-chemical analysis of water samples is being performed to determine heavy metals, organic and biogenic substances, biochemical oxygen consumption for 5 days, and the results will be presented additionally.
