Published 23.08.2021 RSE "Kazhydromet" carried out a large-scale work on the transformation and improvement of the laboratory in Almaty in accordance with international standards.
In the period from 2020-2021, a major overhaul was carried out and laboratory furniture was installed, modern laboratory instruments were purchased to expand the determined indicators.
The laboratory is provided with all the necessary equipment (gas chromatograph, high-performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometer, atomic absorption spectrometer, portable analyzers, etc.) to ensure a complete and high-quality analysis of the content of such hazardous pollutants as benzo (a) pyrene, volatile organic compounds, heavy metals in atmospheric air.
In addition, the laboratory analyzes the quality of surface waters, soils, bottom sediments, atmospheric precipitation, snow cover, and radiation background. Carries out operational trips in case of emergencies, emergency emissions into the atmosphere and discharges of pollutants into water bodies.
The laboratory is accredited and meets the requirements of the international standard ISO / IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories."
