Major repairs were carried out at one of the oldest meteorological stations – MS Esik

On the eve of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Hydrometeorological Service, the Branch of RSE "Kazhydromet" in Almaty carried out major repairs at one of the oldest meteorological stations in Kazakhstan – MS Esik. The station is located in the city of Esik, it is the district center of Enbekshikazakh district, Almaty region.
The town of Esik is located at the foot of the Ileysky Alatau ridge along the mountain river Esik. The location of the meteorological station in this area makes its work very popular. This is also for meteorological monitoring, preparation of weather forecasts, as well as hydrological observations of floods, the issuance of storm warnings and warnings about the danger of avalanches.
To date, major repairs of the weather station building have been carried out at MS Esik. The office premises, the roof were repaired, the facade was redesigned. The updated weather station of the Ecic works without interruptions.
