Within the framework of an international grant and a memorandum with the Association of Practicing Environmentalists, five PM-2.5 and RM-10 suspended particle sensors have been integrated into the observation network of Kazhydromet RSE for monitoring atmospheric air quality in the city of Nur-Sultan. The new sensors are installed at the manual posts of the RSE "Kazhydromet" in Nur-Sultan.
Earlier, similar sensors have already been introduced into the observation network of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan in the cities of Aktobe, Atyrau, Pavlodar and Ust-Kamenogorsk. After installation and configuration, sensor readings are available on the interactive atmospheric air map. http://ecodata.kz:3838/app_dem_visual / and in the mobile app Air.kz .
Work within the framework of the expansion of the monitoring network of RSE "Kazhydromet" is carried out systematically. In 2021, the network was supplemented with 30 new stations purchased at the expense of Kazhydromet's own funds and is regularly supplemented by the integration of data from private surveillance networks. The density of the network will allow residents of Kazakhstan to realistically assess the level of atmospheric air quality in their locality.
