Published 04.02.2022 We are pleased to announce that by Order of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation No. 1104/nk 2 dated October 28, 2021, Zhanar Naurozbayeva, a researcher at the Department of Hydrometeorological Research of the Caspian Sea, was awarded the degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences.
Zhanar Naurozbayeva studied at the postgraduate course of the Russian Hydrometeorological University in the direction of RSE "Kazhydromet", which she successfully completed. During the training period, she developed a method for short-term forecasting of ice thickness increase, evaluated the effectiveness and justifiability of the forecast of different timing, and gave recommendations and instructions for use. The results of the study were presented at the Scientific and Technical Council of RSE "Kazhydromet". Zhanar Naurozbayeva's research was recognized as successful and by the decision of the Council the method was introduced into the operational practice of the hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan.
