On February 23, Nur-Sultan hosted a round table dedicated to the systematic solution of air pollution problems in Kazakhstan. The event was organized within the framework of the project "Strengthening Air Quality Management Capacity in Central Asia". The organizer - "Association of Practicing Ecologists" invited representatives of RSE "Kazhydromet" as speakers on issues of informing the population about air quality.
Recall that in 2018, RSE "Kazhydromet" launched a mobile application for monitoring atmospheric air AirKZ. The mobile application reflects the readings of 170 environmental posts of Kazhydromet, located in 69 localities of the country. AirKZ also integrates data from private atmospheric air quality monitoring networks into the Kazhydromet RSE network: 10 sensors of eco-activist Pavel Alexandrov of Almaty, 15 sensors under an international grant with the participation of the Association of Practicing Ecologists, 4 ANPZ stations, 40 stations of Eco-Service LLP and 8 NCOC stations.
The analysis of data over the years of the mobile application allows environmentalists to develop systematic solutions to air pollution problems in Kazakhstan.
