Meeting on the conservation of the ecosystem of the Zhaiyk River

On February 25, 2022, Kazhydromet RSE took part in a meeting on the conservation of the ecosystem of the transboundary basin of the Zhaiyk River (Ural), held in Uralsk. Deputy Director General S. Sairov, Director of the Research Center N. Abayev and Leading researcher E. Tarasenko took part in this meeting on behalf of RSE "Kazhydromet".

Representatives of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan made reports on the types of work performed by RSE "Kazhydromet" on the implementation of the "Unified Roadmap for enhancing cooperation in conducting research in the basins of large rivers (Zhaiyk, Ertis)" and measures to enhance the activities of the Kazakh-Russian Commission for the Conservation of the ecosystem of the transboundary basin of the Zhaiyk River. There is also a reference consultation on the accumulation of moisture reserves in the basins of the Zhaiyk River for 2022 and the expected flow volumes in the upcoming spring flood period.
