On March 10-11, 2022, Bishkek will host the 1st Central Asian Hybrid Air Quality Conference, organized by MoveGreen within the framework of the project "Building Capacity for Air Quality Management in Central Asia". The conference will be attended by more than 20 online speakers from around the world, 50 offline and more than 100 online participants. Kazakhstan is represented by Olga Kornyukhova, Director of the Department of Environmental Monitoring of RSE "Kazhydromet" with the report "Air quality in Kazakhstan".
The 1st Central Asian Conference on Air Pollution focuses on answers to the most pressing questions asked by citizens and governments of Central Asian countries, why and how to combat air pollution and improve air quality. One of the main goals of the conference is to initiate a regional air quality dialogue platform in Central Asia (AQCA platform) to support the regional clean air movement. The event brings together civil society, journalists, scientists and government from across the region to discuss, train and share experiences on air pollution, air quality monitoring and air quality management.
