Published 08.04.2022 The area of the territory of Kazakhstan covered with snow, calculated by RSE "Kazhydromet" according to NASA satellite images, for the period from March 31 to April 7, 2022 decreased from 45% to 9%.
According to the weekly synoptic forecast for April 9-15, 2022, with the passage of atmospheric fronts, the entire period: in the west, northwest, south, southeast, April 11-15 in the center, April 12-15 in the north, rains are expected. Heavy rain is expected on April 9 in Turkestan and Zhambyl regions, on April 11 in Kyzylorda, on April 13-14 in West Kazakhstan, on April 13-15 in Atyrau regions, in connection with which, in the foothill areas of the south and south-east of the republic, the formation of slope runoff is expected.
In the northern half and in the east of the country, night temperatures are expected to rise from slightly negative to positive values, in the daytime the air temperature will rise to 15-22 degrees Celsius, in the east to 20-25 degrees celsius. In this connection, the weakening of ice phenomena and rising water levels are expected on the rivers of Akmola and North Kazakhstan regions.
The volumes of accumulated moisture reserves in the basins of the lowland rivers of Kazakhstan were as follows:
- in Karaganda, Akmola, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan, Kostanay regions decreased. Flood peaks have passed in most rivers, water levels are gradually declining.
