Published 27.04.2022 In the second decade of April in the south and south-east of Kazakhstan in the areas of winter wheat cultivation, the prevailing warm weather with light precipitation was favorable for the growth and development of winter wheat. The phase of development of the "3rd leaf" is "stalking". The condition of the crops is excellent and good.
In the southern regions, sowing of spring grain crops (barley) is being completed, sowing of spring wheat, heat-loving crops (cotton, corn for grain) and moisture-charging irrigation of cotton to create the necessary moisture reserve in the soil before sowing has begun.
In Zhambyl, Turkestan and Almaty regions, the condition of spring barley is everywhere good. In early crops, the phase of development "formation of nodular roots" is "stalking", in late terms "germination of grain" is "3rd leaf".
In the Almaty region, in the observed areas in the vicinity of the Taldykorgan station, after preliminary tillage, they started sowing spring wheat, the quality of work is good.
In the northern half of the country, the elevated temperature background contributed to the rapid melting of snow in the fields, farms selectively started harrowing and cultivating the soil for sowing spring crops.
