The German Society for International Cooperation, commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, is implementing the project "Environmentally oriented regional development of the Aral Sea region".
The project offers a modular training program designed to increase the potential of specialists in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Advanced training is organized within the framework of the ECO-ARAL project in cooperation with the Reiner Lemoine Institute and the American University of Central Asia.
The first module of the training was held in February of this year in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and covered the basics of Earth observation (Earth Observation) and geoinformation systems (GIS). The second module was devoted to a more expanded use of the NZ and GIS, and was held there in March 2022. Successful participation in both modules gives employees of the National Hydrometeorological Services an opportunity for a week-long study trip to Germany in May 2022.
According to the results of the selection, specialists of RSE "Kazhydromet" - a leading researcher Tursin Tillakarim and a leading meteorological engineer Tauke Kozike successfully passed the first two stages of training and in May they are going on a week-long study trip to Germany.
