Published 06.05.2022 In the third decade of April in the south and south-east of the republic, the observed warm weather and precipitation mostly above normal somewhat restrained field work in the Almaty region, but was favorable for the growth and development of spring grain crops.
In Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions, the phase of "grain germination" – "exit into the tube" was observed in the observed areas during the decade on early spring barley crops, sowing operations are continuing. The condition of barley is assessed mainly as excellent and good.
The sowing of spring wheat continues in the Almaty region, the phase "shoots" - "3rd leaf" is noted in early crops, the condition of wheat is good.
At the observed sites in the Urdzhar district of the East Kazakhstan region, in the Chingirlau district of the West Kazakhstan region and the Bukharzhirau district of the Karaganda region, after preliminary tillage, sowing of spring wheat began, the quality of work is good.
In the northern regions, soil preparation (harrowing, cultivation, peeling, herbicide treatment) for sowing spring grain crops is in full swing.
