Kazhydromet employees conducted an excursion for students of the capital's gymnasium school No. 75. During the tour, the children got acquainted with the museum of the Kazhydromet State Enterprise and saw the instruments that meteorologists used in the last century. Historical documents, meteorological instruments and documentary memoirs of honored workers of Kazhydromet are collected here.

We remind you that the Museum of the history of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan, opened in honor of the 100th anniversary.

Observations of the weather on the territory of our country began in the middle of the 19th century, at meteorological stations: Kazalinsk in 1848, Semipalatinsk in 1854, Irgiz and Kyzyl-Orda in 1856, in Alma-Ata and Uralsk in 1859. By the beginning of the 20th century, 28 weather stations were already operating. In January 1922, the meteorological bureau of the Main Physical Observatory at Kirnarkomzeme was established in Orenburg. It is from this event that the history of modern Kazhydromet begins.

So, young Kazakhstanis saw historical instruments and their modern analogues, got acquainted with the principle of operation of such processes as meteorological monitoring and weather forecasting.
