CCS briefing: Environmental situation in Kazakhstan

On June 15, 2022, a press conference of the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on the topic "On the environmental situation in Kazakhstan".
At the press conference, Vice-Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Suleimenova Zulfiya Bolatovna and Deputy Director General of RSE "Kazhydromet" — Sairov Serik Biyakhmetovich acted as speakers.
During the conference, Zulfiya Bolatovna spoke about the current environmental situation in the country. So, at the briefing, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted the following: "Adhering to the postulate of the "hearing state", we held discussions with the public, akimats and nature users on solving urgent environmental problems. As a result, 16 Roadmaps were adopted. 485 events are planned. The activities planned for the period 2020 – Q1 2022 were completed by more than 50%. We see that there is a need to update these roadmaps. We invite the public to take an active part. We expect that the implementation of Roadmaps by 2025 will reduce the air pollution index in 10 cities from high to medium." The speaker also answered such environmental questions of journalists as the implementation of road maps, state regulation of waste, the elimination of natural landfills.
And the representative of the RSE "Kazhydromet" – Serik Biyakhmetovich, made a report on the number and dynamics of the development of the state control network monitoring in the country.
