In the section on the coverage of the work of branches – Karaganda branch

The branch of RSE "Kazhydromet" in the Karaganda region is one of the largest, and combines work in two regions – Karaganda and Ulytau. The branch pays special attention to the issue of training employees and improving their skill level. Close communication is maintained with educational institutions of higher professional education, Employment centers of the region's population. The issues of professional development and retraining of employees are under constant control.
• Specialists of the Information Technology Department (ITO) were trained and received certificates for the maintenance of Doppler meteorological radars (DMRL).
• In 2021, the observation network of agrometeorological posts (AMP) is provided with tablets for rapid data stuffing into the ARMAN program, training was conducted.
• In 2022, all weather stations of the branch were equipped with computers and connected to the Internet.
• In 2021-2022, employees of meteorological stations Aksu-Ayuli, Karaganda Agricultural Experimental Station (SHOS), Zharyk, Aktogay, Bektau-ata carried out cosmetic repairs of buildings.
• ITO provides timely maintenance of MS, AMS and SCAT according to the approved schedule.
• According to the program "Creating conditions for the production, processing and sale of crop production", the work in 2021 was 100% completed. Representatives of the branch have repeatedly participated in regional and district agricultural councils, where they presented the web application "AgroData".
• In the course of 2021, during post-flood visits, the hydrology department carried out work on the current repair of posts after the flood.
• In January – March 2022, employees of the hydrology department carried out work to prepare for the spring flood: visits to 29 posts were carried out before the flood, levelling of water measuring posts was carried out, delivery of devices and equipment necessary for operation was carried out, inventory of devices and equipment was carried out, their serviceability was checked, uninterrupted telephone communication with all hydrological posts was provided.
• The flood of 2022 was high-water, dangerous levels and excess were on the small rivers Ulken-Kunduzdy and the Upper Reaches of the Yesil River, the level on the Taldy and Sherubainura rivers approached the dangerous levels. There were no disruptions in the observations of the flood. During the passage of the flood, the specialists of the branch organized round-the-clock duty.
• Since 2019, the branch of RSE "Kazhydromet" in the Karaganda region has been a representative office of the Local Trade Union of Employees of state institutions in the Karaganda region. Cultural events are actively held, a charity event for children from the children's home "Shapagat", dedicated to the Children's Day, is organized.
