In the permanent category, covering the work of regional branches, repairs and achievements for the year – Almaty branch.

There are 1 hard-to-reach station (TDS), 11 weather stations, 7 automatic stations, 1 automatic agrometeorological post, 29 hydrological posts in the area of activity of the Kazhydromet branch in the Almaty region. The branch combines work in two areas – Almaty and Zhetysu.
For the period 2021 and the 1st half of 2022, the work on meteorological, agrometeorological, hydrological and environmental activities has been completed in full:
• At hydrological posts: the Tentek river – uroch.Tonkeris, TDS R.B.Osek and R.M.Osek carried out ongoing repairs.
• In 2020-2021, the fencing at the Lepsy weather stations was replaced and water supply was carried out at 4 weather stations (MS): Zharkent, Alakol, Sarkand and Matai.
• A Doppler meteorological radar (DMRL) is installed on the territory of MS Taldykorgan, it is fully operational.
• For employees of TDS Zhalanashkol and R.Tentek – uroch. Tonkeris, R.B.Osek and R.M.Osek. Food has been purchased and delivered.
Additional observations are underway:
• 4 stations were involved in measuring the radiation gamma background: (Saryozek, Zharkent, Taldykorgan and Lepsi).
• 3 stations (Zharkent, Taldykorgan and Lepsi) were involved in the pollution of precipitation by the method of tablet sampling and the Tekeli station by the method of collecting all precipitation.
• 2 stations are involved in evaporation from the water surface: Ushtobe and Sarkand.
• Satellite terminals have been installed at AMS Akzhar and Zhalanashkol for stable operation.
• Added observations of the depth of freezing and thawing of the soil at the Usharal meteorological station.
• 6 MS (Zharkent, Kogaly, Lepsi, Sarkand, Taldykorgan, Ushtobe), 2 AMS (Akzhar, Zhansugurov), 1 AMP (Kosagash) and 1 AAP (Kyzyltu) are involved in the production of agrometeorological observations.
• Observations of the condition and parameters of agricultural crops are carried out at 28 observation sites.
