Kazhydromet has released a forecast of sugar beet and corn yields for 2022

These are still test forecasts. The predictive model for these crops was adapted in 2020, and it is undergoing production tests.
According to the calculations obtained and taking into account the current and expected agrometeorological situation, the yield of corn for grain this season is expected in the Almaty, Zhetysu, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions is mainly higher than the average annual values.
The yield of sugar beet in Almaty, Zhetysu and Zhambyl regions is expected to be higher than long-term values everywhere.
The forecast was developed on the condition that the plants in the fields receive a vegetative irrigation rate of water. However, if the norms and terms of vegetative watering of vegetable crops are not observed, then there may be a shortage of harvest compared to the forecast one. All forecasts are regularly provided to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
