Published 28.07.2022 In the second decade of July, an elevated temperature background was observed throughout Kazakhstan, precipitation fell mostly less than normal, in places in the north and east more than normal, such conditions can lead to a shortage of crops. Chemical treatment against weeds and pests continues in Akmola, Kostanay, Aktobe, North Kazakhstan and Karaganda oblasts.
In the southern regions, meteorological conditions were favorable for filling and ripening grain and harvesting grain crops.
In the northern half of the country, the condition of spring grain crops is mostly excellent and good, in some areas satisfactory. The phase of development "appearance of the lower stem node" is "waxy ripeness", in late crops "exit into the tube".
In the south of the republic, the condition of spring wheat is everywhere good. The phase of development "flowering" is "waxy ripeness", in spring barley there is a phase "earing" – "full ripeness". Barley harvesting continues in Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions.
