The third decade of July was abnormally hot mainly in the southern half of the country. This was facilitated by the intensive removal of warm air masses from the regions of Iran and Central Asia and the establishment of a blocking heat ridge in the middle troposphere. So, for example, temperature records were "broken": On July 19, the highest air temperature of +43.0 ° C was recorded at the Aktau meteorological station (Mangystau region), thereby the 2018 record was updated (+40.2 ° C), on July 20 at the Zhezkazgan weather station (Ulytau region) the maximum air temperature was +41.3 ° C, the last time on the same day the absolute maximum was +40.0 ° C in 2012, at the Kyzylorda weather station on July 21, the record air temperature reached +44.6 ° C, which exceeded the record of 2018 (+41.9 ° C). On July 22, in the southern and southeastern regions of the country, the thermometer columns reached +40+46 °C.
But the temperature records on July 22 were blocked at the following stations: in Almaty, the highest air temperature was +39.3 ° C, the record of 1956 was blocked (+39.0 °C), at the Taraz weather station the maximum air temperature was +42.0 °C, blocking the record of this day in 1987 (+39.0 °C), in Shymkent, the maximum air temperature was +42.7 ° C, the last time on the same day the highest air temperature was in 2018 (+40.5 ° C).
In addition to temperature records, with the aggravation of atmospheric fronts, heavy heavy rains were observed on the territory of the republic at the beginning and at the end of the month, exceeding monthly norms by 2-4 times.
For example, on the night of July 3, more than two-month precipitation norms fell at the Chapaevo weather station (West Kazakhstan region) - 49 mm, (the norm for the month is 20 mm), 21 mm fell at the Karabau weather station (Atyrau region) on the same day, with a norm for the month of 14 mm. On July 5, 38 mm of precipitation fell at the Novoalekseyevka weather station (Aktobe region), with a monthly norm of 26 mm, on the same day 83 mm fell at the Kievka weather station (Karaganli region) (with a norm of 49 mm). July 23 at the Novy Ushtogan weather station (Atyrau region) 24 mm fell during the day, with a norm of 15 mm per month. On July 28, 44 mm fell at the Aktau weather station (Mangystau region), which is four times more than the norm (the norm for the month is 10 mm), on July 29, 88 mm fell at the Stepnogorsk weather station (Akmola region), with a norm for the month of 56 mm.
In the capital, Nur-Sultan, records were not recorded during the month, the highest air temperature was recorded on July 16, the thermometer columns reached +35.1 ° C, precipitation for the month fell 35 mm, with a norm of 56 mm.
