The 33rd session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the CIS was held in Nur-Sultan

In the period from September 14 to 15, 2022, the 33rd session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the Commonwealth of Independent States (MSG CIS) was held online in the city of Nur-Sultan. The session was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the CIS MSG Levon Azizyan, Director of the GNO "Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring" of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.  L.Azizyan, on behalf of the MSG Council members, congratulated Danara Alimbayeva, Director General of Kazhydromet RSE and official representative of Kazakhstan to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) on being elected Chairman of the Council of the 33rd session of the CIS MSG, and also wished success in solving the tasks facing the Council.
The session was attended by delegations from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the WMO headed by Deputy Secretary General Elena Manaenkova and Head of the CIS Executive Committee – Director of the Department for Security Cooperation and Countering New Challenges and Threats Alexander Burov.
The members of the Council considered the issues on the agenda, discussed the proposals of the participants and made decisions on them.
