On November 17, 2022, the XII (XXX) meeting of the Joint Kazakh-Russian Commission on the Joint Use and Protection of Transboundary Water Bodies was held in Tyumen, Russian Federation. The Kazakh delegation was headed by the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. Mukatayev. The participants from our country also included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Department of Transboundary Rivers and the Committee on Water Resources of the MAGPR of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Basin Inspections of the rivers Zhaiyk, Tobol, Yesil, RSE "Kazhydromet" and RSE "Kazvodkhoz".
Within the framework of the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Russia on the Joint use and Protection of Transboundary Water Bodies, the Heads of the Working Groups on the basins of the rivers Ertis, Yesil, Toyl, Zhaiyk, Karaozen, Saryozen, Kigash provided a report on the passage of the spring flood, the filling of reservoirs and the conditions of water supply to the population and sectors of the economy, Kazhydromet RSE provided hydrochemical information on transboundary rivers. Issues of water protection measures aimed at improving the state of water resources were also discussed.
