On November 29-30, 2022, the North Eurasian Climate Center (SEACC) is holding the Twenty-third session of the Climate Forum on Seasonal Forecasts (SEACOF) among the hydrometeorological services of the CIS online.
On the first day of the online forum, reports were heard by leading specialists of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, the G.I.Marchuk Institute of Computational Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IVM RAS), the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
On the second day, specialists of the hydrometeorological services of the CIS countries: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed what the summer of 2022 was like and what the winter of 2022-2023 will be like.
Specialists of the Department of long-term weather forecasts of RSE "Kazhydromet" made reports on the topic: "The fact of the summer period of 2022 on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and "Forecast for the winter period of 2022-2023 on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan".
The main outcome of the online forum will be the development of an agreed (consensus) forecast for the upcoming winter season 2022-2023 on the territory of Northern Eurasia.
