Published 29.12.2022 - In September, the 33rd session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the Commonwealth of Independent States (MSG CIS) was held under the chairmanship of Kazhydromet.
- Astana hosted the Third Meeting of the Steering Committee on Rapidly Developing Floods in Central Asian Countries offline. Representatives of the World Meteorological Organization, Emergency Services, Heads of Hydrometeorological Services of Central Asia took part.
- Kazhydromet has received a certificate of accreditation as a subject of scientific and scientific-technical activity for a period of five years until 2027.
- RSE "Kazhydromet" also contributes to the strengthening of international cooperation of National hydrometeorological services. In November 2022, the head of Kazhydromet, Danara Alimbayeva, as the main speaker of the panel session at the regional conference of the Regional Association of RA VI of the World Meteorological Organization, presented a report on the vision of international cooperation of national hydrometeorological services of RA VI in the field of Infrastructure, services and research, emphasizing interest in the integration of monitoring and warning systems, at which the World Meteorological Organization noted that the Republic Kazakhstan as a connecting bridge of the West-East.
- Kazhydromet organized a video conference on the topic: "The role of the hydrometeorological Service in the conditions of climate change", which was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the World Meteorological Organization E.B. Monaenkova, representatives of the CIS MSG, heads of hydrometeorological CIS countries;
- Conference of the VI Regional Association, in the annual educational conference "Climate Talks" and in many other international seminars and conferences.
- In 2022, Memoranda of Understanding were signed between:
- Potsdam Institute for Climate Research (Germany);
- Austrian Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (Austria);
- also a memorandum of cooperation with BINOM EDUCATION LLP.
