Published 28.02.2023 On February 27-28, 2023, the Final Meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Project for the Modernization of Hydrometeorological Services in Central Asia was held in Samarkand.
Over the period of implementation, the Project has become one of the key platforms through which the hydrometeorological services of Central Asia strengthen their capacity.
Each country has benefited from the project in areas such as:
- development of cooperation between NMHSs on the issue of receiving, processing and exchanging information;
- strengthening the technical and organizational capabilities of the NHMS to receive, store and exchange information;
- improving the quality of customer service with hydrometeorological products;
- retraining and advanced training of employees of supervisory units.
The General Director of the RSE "Kazhydromet" Danara Alimbayeva made a report on the results for the intersessional period, and on the readiness to implement the project in the future.
The meeting raises and discusses the pressing problems of hydrometeorological support and climate change, which, without exaggeration, are relevant for all countries of our region.
