The amount of precipitation in March is predicted to be more than normal in most of the republic, about normal - in the north-western half and in the south-western part of Kazakhstan.
March will start with the unstable nature of the weather. A cyclone from the Barents and Kara Seas and associated atmospheric fronts will cause precipitation in the form of rain and sleet in most of the country, a grass-roots blizzard is forecast in the northern half, rains will occur in the southern half, thunderstorms are possible. Icy phenomena are expected in most regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, wind strengthening up to 18-25 m/s. In early March, in the northern regions, the air temperature will rise at night to 0,-5 ° C, -2+5 ° C during the day, in the southern regions - at night to -3+10 ° C, in the afternoon to +13+20 ° C. Only in the west, north-west of Kazakhstan with a cold western anticyclone, a slight decrease in air temperature is expected at night to -5-12 ° C, in the afternoon to 0,-8 ° C. On March 03-04, a decrease in the temperature background is predicted in the rest of Kazakhstan:
- in the northern half at night up to -10-18 ° C, during the day up to -3-10 °C;

In the second half of the first decade, unstable weather is expected again on the territory of the republic, now associated with the influence of Western cyclones and the South Caspian cyclone, precipitation, mainly rain, and a significant increase in daytime air temperatures are predicted. In the northern half during the daytime, the air will warm up to -2 +5 ° C, in the southern half to +17 +22 ° C. Another decrease in air temperature associated with the western anticyclone is predicted at the end of the decade.
At the beginning of the second decade, warm and low-precipitation weather is expected in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the removal of warm air masses from the regions of Iran. The air temperature will rise in the afternoon in the northern half to +3 +10 ° C, in the southern half to +18+25 ° C.
The weather in March is very changeable, which is characteristic of this month, a thaw can often be replaced by frosty days and vice versa, and winter blizzards can also play out again.
With the invasion of cold Arctic air masses on some days in the second decade, the air temperature is expected to drop:
- in the northern regions at night to -15-23 ° C, during the day to -5-10 ° C;
- in the west, in the center, in the east of the country at night to -13-18 ° C, during the day to 0,-5 ° C;
- in the southern and southeastern regions at night up to -2-10 ° C, in the daytime up to 0,+5 ° C.
The truly spring weather in the republic is expected in the third decade of the month. In the southern half of the country, the air temperature will gradually rise during the day to +15 +25 ° C, in the northern half the air will warm up to +3+12 ° C.
