EUMETSAT Information Day for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia

On April 27-28, 2023, the EUMETSAT Information Day for Meteorological Services of Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia is being held in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Kazakhstan is represented by specialists of RSE "Kazhydromet".  
This regional event is jointly organized by EUMETSAT and the National Environmental Protection Agency of Georgia. The purpose of the Information Day was to collect feedback from the region on the use of meteorological satellite data and their advantages. Special attention at the meeting was paid to the contribution of satellite observations to early warning of severe weather events in the regions of the meeting participants.
At the event, EUMETSAT representatives spoke about the current status of EUMETSAT's activities, including contributions to the EU Copernicus program, with a special focus on the new third-generation Meteosat satellite (MTG). At the Information Day, joint measures were also worked out to facilitate access and use of Meteosat satellite data.
