Published 12.05.2023 On May 11, 2023, representatives of Duke American University and Nazarbayev University visited Kazhydromet RSE. The purpose of the visit is to install air quality sensors throughout Astana. The management of Kazhydromet demonstrated to the guests the state atmospheric air monitoring network and told about the work being done, the AirKZ mobile application and explained the principle of operation of the interactive atmospheric air monitoring map.
The head of the American delegation, Mike Bergin from Duke University, together with Dhawal Shah, a professor at Nazarbayev University, expressed their intention to bring more than 20 sensors with which research will be conducted.
