Published 17.07.2023 Corn yield for grain is predicted in Zhetysu, Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions mainly above the average long-term values, about a multi-year norm is expected in the Ili district of Almaty region, Zhambyl district of Zhambyl region and in the vicinity of Turkestan.
The yield of sugar beet in Zhetysu and Zhambyl regions is also expected to be higher than long-term values.
The forecast was developed on the condition that the plants in the fields receive a vegetative irrigation rate of water. However, if the norms and terms of vegetative watering of vegetable crops are not observed, then there may be a shortage of harvest compared to the forecast one.
