Published 27.07.2023 In the second decade of July, meteorological conditions throughout Kazakhstan were satisfactory for grain ripening and harvesting of grain crops in the southern regions. In the northern regions, the treatment of crops with herbicides and pesticides against weeds and pests continues.
At the observed sites in the Akmola region, the "appearance of the lower stem node" - "flowering" – is observed on spring wheat crops, and "milk ripeness" is observed on early crops. The condition of the plants is generally good and satisfactory, in some areas around the stations of the Zhaltyr Astrakhan district is poor. The height of plants reaches 30-58 cm, on late crops up to 27 cm.
In the Kostanay region, the condition of spring wheat in the observed areas is mostly excellent and good, in the vicinity of the Ken – Aralsky agropost of the Fedorovsky district is satisfactory, around the Auliekol stations of the Auliekol district is poor. The development phase of "earing" is "milk ripeness", in late crops - "tillering" and "appearance of the lower stem node".
