Published 03.10.2023 On October 2, 2023, the first meeting of the managing group of the Regional Association VI (RA VI - Europe) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) took place in an online format.
During the meeting, the participating countries discussed the work of the Regional Centers for the Integrated Global Observing System (IGSNV RCI), the implementation of the HydroSOS project and the WMO Earlier Warning for All initiative.
The mandatory functions of the IGSNV (RCOI) include metadata management and monitoring of data quality in the regions. HydroSOS as a whole is aimed at creating a unique operational system that provides up-to-date hydrological information for hydrometeorological services and the population.
The reports of all the participating countries of the meeting were heard in an online format. We discussed in detail the topics of the upcoming meetings for the next two years. Also, the organizers and participants coordinated their actions and agreed to continue cooperation.
