Published 09.10.2023 on October 6, 2023, the honored pensioner of the Branch of RSE "Kazhydromet" in the Akmola region - Velichko Maria Alexandrovna suddenly passed away.
Velichko Maria Aleksandrovna worked in the system of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan for 43 years. In 1975, she joined the Shchuchinsk meteorological Station as a junior meteorologist technician. In 2015, she went on a well-deserved rest as the head of the weather station.
Despite her age, Maria Alexandrovna has been working at the Shchuchinsk weather station for the last four years as a mentor and a meteorologist technician.
During her career, Maria Alexandrovna took an active part in the development of not only her weather station, but also trained and helped in the opening of new meteorological stations – Burabai (2006), Novomarkovka (2009), Stepnyak (2011).
Maria Alexandrovna was an excellent teacher and mentor, she was distinguished by the highest professionalism and selfless dedication to her work. She transferred a huge knowledge base to many meteorologists of the Branch of Kazhydromet RSE in the Akmola region.
For her long and fruitful activity, Maria Alexandrovna was awarded the jubilee medal in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Constitution of Kazakhstan, the 90th and 100th anniversary of Kazhydromet, certificates of honor and letters of thanks, in 1981 she was awarded the title "Drummer of Communist Labor".
The staff of RSE "Kazhydromet" expresses sincere condolences to the family and friends, and grieves for the irreparable loss.
