An updated Program of cooperation in the field of hydrometeorological information exchange has been signed

On October 27, 2023, a meeting was held in Shymkent with the participation of the heads of the RSE "Kazhydromet" and the Agency of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The seminar discussed the results of joint measurements of water consumption carried out on October 25-26, 2023 at the transboundary posts of the Syrdarya river – Chinaz and the Syrdarya River – above the mouth of the Keles River.
Specialists of RSE "Kazhydromet" and the Agency of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan confirmed that a single method is used for measuring water flow – the "speed-area" method.
At the end of the meeting, a Protocol was written on the results of joint measurements of water consumption at transboundary hydrological posts on the Syrdarya River, and an updated Program of cooperation in the exchange of hydrometeorological information for 2023-2028 was signed.
