The amount of precipitation in February in most parts of the republic is predicted to be around the climatic norm, only in Atyrau, in the northern half of Kostanay, in the mountainous and foothill regions of the south and south-east of the country - above norm.
In February, the duration of daylight hours increases by an average of 2-3 hours. In the southern regions, the average daily air temperature is already moving past 0°, towards positive values.
Fogs and ice conditions are observed more often than in January.
According to the forecast, at the beginning and at the end of the first ten days of February, with active cyclones, snow and blizzards are expected in most of the Republic of Kazakhstan; in the mountainous areas of the southern regions there will be occasional heavy snow; in the middle of the first ten days, precipitation is predicted in the form of rain and sleet. Unstable weather will be accompanied by fog, famines and increased wind up to 15-28 m/s. In the middle of the first ten days of February, air temperatures are expected to increase in most parts of Kazakhstan:
in the western regions: at night from -3-14°С to -5+3°С, during the day from 0.-5°С to -3+5°С;
in the northern and central: countries at night from -10-23°С to -3-10°С, during the day from -5-15°С to -5+2°С;
in the east of the country: at night from -10-25°С to -2-10°С, during the day from -2-12°С to -2+3°С;
in the southern regions: at night from -8-15°С to -3+3°С, during the day from -8+3°С to +5+13°С.
