Published 09.02.2024 In January and February 2024, on the basis of an agreement between the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan and the L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University, students of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography undergo practical training.
The purpose of Kazhydromet and ENU is to familiarize students with the production side of their future profession and to train highly qualified competitive specialists.
Employees of the Department of Hydrology of RSE Kazhydromet, using the example of their work, told future geographers and hydrologists about flood forecasting in Kazakhstan and monitoring the level of water bodies in our country. They showed how regime, operational and predictive hydrological information about water bodies in Kazakhstan is created. We also conducted a tour of the Kazhydromet Museum, which was opened for the centenary of the Weather Service.
