Kazhydromet and Roshydromet have signed a cooperation program for 2024-2027

On February 9, 2024, the seventh official meeting of the delegations of the National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan and the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring took place in Moscow, Russia within the framework of the interdepartmental Agreement on scientific and technical cooperation.  
Director General of Kazhydromet Danara Alimbayeva and Head of Roshydromet Igor Shumakov made welcoming remarks and brief reports on the current activities of hydrometeorological services.
The parties reviewed the results of cooperation since the sixth official meeting, which took place in Astana in September 2018, and confirmed their intention to continue it on an ongoing basis. They also noted the successful exchange of operational data from hydrometeorological observations and products within the framework of the Program of operational, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation between Kazhydromet and Roshydromet for 2019-2023.
The heads of the services stressed the need and interest in continuing the rapid exchange of hydrometeorological observation data and signed a Cooperation Program for 2024-2027.
The next official meeting of the delegations will be held in Kazakhstan.
