The state of the level regime of the Kazakh part of the Caspian Sea

According to the forecast of RSE Kazhydromet for April 11-16, 2024, the average sea level in the Northern Caspian Sea is expected to be around minus 28.75 m, the average Caspian Sea is about minus 29.14 m.
Run-up phenomena are not expected, sea level fluctuations will not exceed 15 cm.

According to the observation points of Kazhydromet RSE, in the period from January to March 2024, the average level of the Caspian Sea in its northern part was minus 29.19 m, with fluctuations from minus 28.69 m to minus 29.56 m, and in the eastern part it was near minus 29.26 m, with fluctuations from minus 28.63 m to minus 29.71 M.
It is worth noting that during this period, the average level of the Kazakh part of the sea is below the level of the observed historical minimum of the background sea level (minus 29.01 m BS).
