The National Hydrometeorological Service of Kazakhstan was visited by Hank Niebuhr, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Fredrik Hethof, head of the group of the Dutch Organization for Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Support. The meeting was attended by the management of RSE "Kazhydromet" and hydrological specialists.
The parties discussed the current difficult hydrometeorological conditions for floods in Kazakhstan, the peculiarities of hydrological forecasting in conditions of a sharply continental climate and the geographical location of the country. The guests also got acquainted with the work of Kazhydromet's production units engaged in flood forecasting.
