The Central Asian Climate Change Conference (CACIC 2024) is being held in Almaty on May 27-29, 2024. In 2024, the Conference is dedicated to discussing such important issues for Central Asia as water, energy, food security and environmental sustainability in the context of climate change.
CACIC-2024 has become an annual dialogue platform for discussing and demonstrating the benefits of regional cooperation in addressing climate change and cross-border climate risks.
Every year, the conference gathers more than 400 representatives of relevant ministries of Central Asian countries, international organizations, the civil sector, the scientific and academic community, representatives of business and the media. Participants discuss progress, challenges and gaps in meeting climate commitments by Central Asian countries, achieving carbon neutrality, issues of green transition and security, problems and opportunities to reduce the risk of natural disasters related to climate change.
