A brief agrometeorological review for the 1st decade of July 2024

In the south and south-east of the republic, in the observed areas of spring cereals, in most areas, the phases of development "milk ripeness" - "full ripeness" are noted, in some areas "earing", in Zhetysu region (Ushtobe weather station) and Zhambyl region (Assa, Kulan), spring barley harvesting has begun in the observed areas.  The condition of spring grain crops is mostly good.
In the west, the "exit into the tube" phase of development is marked on the crops of spring cereals - "earing", waxy ripeness in early crops. The condition of the plants is satisfactory and good in places. In the vicinity of the Martuk meteorological station of the Aktobe region, the "milk ripeness" phase continues in the observed oat plots, the plant height is 60 cm. The condition of the plants is good. Premature yellowing of leaves and ears is observed in the vicinity of the Novoalekseevka meteorological station in Aktobe region and Fedorovka in West Kazakhstan region.
In the north (Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, Akmola and Pavlodar regions), depending on the timing of sowing, spring grain crops were in the phases of "appearance of the lower stem node" - "earing", in late crops "tillering" - "exit into the tube". The condition of spring grain crops is generally good and satisfactory.
     In the center of the country (Karaganda, Ulytau regions), the phases of "appearance of the lower stem node" - "earing" are noted on spring wheat and barley crops, in the Abai district (agropost Agrogorodok), where spring barley was sown in the second decade of April "wax ripeness", on late crops "exit into the tube". The condition of spring grain crops is mostly good.
In the east of the country (Abai and East Kazakhstan regions), the phases of development "appearance of the lower stem node" - "earing", "tillering" in the late ones, and "flowering" in some areas are noted on spring wheat crops in early crops. The condition of the plants is good and excellent.
In the south and south-east of the republic (Zhetysu, Almaty, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions), the observed areas of winter wheat show phases of development "full ripeness", in some areas "milk ripeness". The condition of winter wheat is mostly good and excellent. Harvesting of winter wheat has begun in Zhetysu (Ushtobe weather station), Zhambyl (Kulan, Merke weather stations) and Turkestan (Ekpendy, Kazygurt weather stations) regions.
In the south of the country (Turkestan region), on crops of thermophilic crops (soybeans, cotton), cotton mainly has a "flowering" phase, soybeans have "the beginning of flowering". The condition of the plants is mostly good and excellent.
     In the Zhetysu region, the phase of "closing plants in rows" continues on sugar beet crops. The condition of the plants is excellent.
