In some areas in the west of the country, harvesting began at the end of July, in the east, in the center and in the north of the country, mass harvesting is expected in the first half of August.
According to preliminary calculations, in the second decade of August, the drying of the loaves in the stem will take place under satisfactory conditions.
In the third decade of August, good conditions are expected for the combine harvester to operate for an average of 14-17 hours per day in most of the grain-growing zone, however, periods with poor conditions for harvesting are possible in the north of the republic.
In the second half of August, expected precipitation combined with increased winds up to 15-20 m/s may cause crops to settle in the fields, which will complicate their harvesting and may lead to partial crop loss. In the first decade of September, harvesting conditions are expected to be more favorable, but at the end of the decade rain and a decrease in air temperature are expected in most of the republic.
The forecast of agrometeorological conditions of grain harvesting is published on the official website of RSE "Kazhydromet", as well as in the appendix www.agrodata.kz.
The preliminary forecast will be updated taking into account the clarification of the weather forecast for September.
