Hydrometeorological services of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan signed a cooperation program

Within the framework of the 35th session of the Interstate Council for Hydrometeorology of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CISG), which was held on September 11, 2024 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, the National Hydrometeorological Services (NGMS) of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan signed an Updated Cooperation Program.

The program of Cooperation with the Azerbaijani NGMS, in addition to the standard data exchange and joint research, includes activities through the Coordination Committee on Hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea, as well as the exchange of hydrochemical information of the Caspian Sea.

On a bilateral basis, the Kazakh and Azerbaijani sides agreed to publish articles by Azerbaijani and Kazakh specialists in scientific and technical journals published in both countries. In addition to the main activities, the parties also agreed on the participation of their specialists in joint seminars and conferences on hydrometeorology.
