The Atlantic cyclone filled with masses of humid Atlantic air will determine the weather in most of Kazakhstan, snow and blizzard are forecast in the area of its frontal sections, in the west and south, precipitation in the form of rain and snow in the north of the country on January 20-21. Stronger winds, fog, and ice are expected in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Heavy precipitation is forecast on the night of January 18 in the Turkestan region.
Heavy snow is forecast for January 20 in Ulytau region, January 21 in Aktobe, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan, January 21-22 in Akmola, January 22 in Pavlodar, Karaganda, Turkestan, Zhambyl, regions and Abai region, January 22-23 in East Kazakhstan, Almaty regions and Zhetisu region.
From January 22, a cold air mass will begin to spread, which will lead to a significant decrease in air temperature at night:
• in the west to 10-20 frost;
• in the north-west and north up to 20-30 frost;
• frost is expected to reach 25-35 degrees in the center and in the east;
• in the south of the country – up to 12-25 frost;
Residents of the country are urged to be attentive and prepared for severe frosts and difficult weather conditions.
