Published 30.01.2025 Kazhydromet has released a preliminary forecast of the flood situation in Kazakhstan for 2025.
Kazhydromet continues monitoring and will regularly update forecasts. In case of a threat of flooding, short-term hydrological forecasts will be provided promptly.
Starting this year, in addition to the forecast from the Central Office of RSE Kazhydromet, information-consultations (bulletins) will be issued during the high water period for each region separately. These certificates will display more detailed information about precipitation – soil moisture, the depth of soil freezing, precipitation during the cold period in the context of areas, as well as expected maximum levels, water consumption and runoff volumes at hydrological posts.
