Kazhydromet RSE was visited by Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the WTO Torebaev Kairat Kalmukametovich.
During the visit, Kairat Torebayev met with Danara Alimbayeva, General Director of RSE Kazhydromet. The main purpose of the meeting is to get acquainted and discuss possible areas of cooperation within the framework of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Kairat Torebayev noted that he had previously held meetings with the WMO Secretary General in Geneva, and stressed the importance of cooperation with the WMO.
Among the key issues raised at the meeting were equipping with modern equipment and strengthening the technical base of Kazhydromet, assistance in promoting the interests of Kazakhstan represented by the National Hydrometeorological Service in the international arena.
The visit highlighted the importance of constructive cooperation between the Diplomatic Mission of Kazakhstan in Geneva and the National Hydrometeorological Service in order to strengthen cooperation with the WMO and expand opportunities for the development of the hydrometeorological industry.
