On October 2, 2025, in Astana, within the framework of the Digital Bridge 2025 international forum, a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation was signed to identify a pilot area for cloud seeding in Kazakhstan.
The document was signed:
- Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Mandous, Director General of the National Meteorological Center of the United Arab Emirates;
- Danara Alimbayeva, General Director of RSE Kazhydromet of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Serik Shulembekov, First Deputy General Director of Kazaeronavigation RSE of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The memorandum is aimed at conducting preparatory activities and joint research to determine the optimal area for the implementation of a pilot cloud seeding project in Kazakhstan.
The signing of the Memorandum will make it possible to combine the efforts of the parties in the field of scientific research and the practical implementation of technologies for actively influencing hydrometeorological processes. This will be an important step in developing innovative meteorological support methods and strengthening international cooperation.
