The International Day of Disaster Risk Reduction Education is celebrated annually on October 13. This day is designed to draw attention to the importance of building a culture of emergency preparedness and raising public awareness about ways to reduce the consequences of natural disasters.
Thanks to the development of monitoring and forecasting technologies, as well as cooperation with international organizations, including the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Kazhydromet is making a significant contribution to the implementation of the global Early Warning for All initiative aimed at increasing society's resilience to natural disasters.
