According to the advisory forecast, the first month of winter in most of the republic is forecast with a background temperature near normal, in the western regions – 1-2 °C above normal, in the northeast and east of the republic - 1 °C below normal.
Unstable weather patterns are expected in the first decade of December with the passage of atmospheric frontal sections – precipitation is expected in the west, north, east and center of the country, mainly in the form of snow, in the southwest and in the southern half - in the form of rain and snow. Heavy snow is forecast in the mountainous and foothill regions of the east and south-east of Kazakhstan. Snowstorms, ice, and fog are expected across the republic.
In early December, the main background of daytime air temperature is predicted:
> in the west of the country and in the Ulytau region 0,+8°C;
> in the northern and central regions of the country -3+2°C;
> in the east of the country 0,-8°C;
> in the southern half of the country +5+13°C.
However, by the end of the decade, the northwestern anticyclone, fueled by Arctic air masses, will contribute to a decrease in air temperature in almost the entire territory of the country.:
> in the west of the country, up to -5-10°C at night, up to -3-8°C during the day;
> in the north, east and center of the country at night up to -10-18 °C, in the east of the country in some areas up to -23 ° C, in the daytime up to -5-13 °C;
> in the south, southeast at night up to -5+2 °C, in the daytime up to +3+10 °C.
In the second and third decades, the temperature background at night will range from -15-20 °C to -5-10 °C, during the day from a weakly positive -3+2 °C to -5-10 °C, in the east - on some days the air temperature will drop at night to -25-35 °C, in the afternoon, up to -15-20 °C. In the west and in the southern half of the country, the air temperature is expected to fluctuate from 0-5 frost to 7-12 frost at night, mainly in the range of 0-8 heat is expected during the day.
Changeable weather is expected during the month: precipitation mainly in the form of snow will alternate with clear frosty days without precipitation. Gusty winds with snowstorms, fog and ice are forecast in some places, which is no exception for December.
