Kazhydromet RSE held a working meeting with Harry Pietarila, a representative of the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current cooperation and prospects for further cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology.
Special attention was paid to the previously outlined plans, formed since August 2025, as well as to the implementation of the memorandum of understanding aimed at establishing and developing cooperation.
The parties confirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation, implement joint projects and enhance the exchange of experience.
Special emphasis is placed on the development of joint international projects in the Central Asian region.
Following the talks, the participants identified concrete steps to further develop the partnership, including joint events and the introduction of best practices in the field of hydrometeorology.
The parties expressed mutual interest in deepening cooperation aimed at improving the quality of hydrometeorological services and effectively responding to climate challenges.
