Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov visited the branch of Kazhydromet RSE in Almaty and Almaty region.
During the visit, the Minister got acquainted with the activities of the branch, the main areas of work and the organization of hydrometeorological monitoring in the region.
Special attention was paid to the work of the branch's laboratory. Alibek Kuantyrov got acquainted with the research and processes of quality control of atmospheric air and the environment, as well as with the equipment used.
The weather forecasters of the branch told the minister about the specifics of their daily work, the preparation of weather forecasts and warnings about dangerous and adverse meteorological events. The specialists also demonstrated the main stages of preparing forecasts and talked about the specifics of meteorological support in Almaty and the Almaty region.
A visit to the branch made it possible to get acquainted with the work of Kazhydromet specialists on the spot, who daily provide observations, analysis of the data obtained and preparation of hydrometeorological information for the region.
